Chaley Shipley serves our patients as both an RN and our Executive Clinic Director. In this role, she provides advisory capacity to area employers regarding their occupational health needs when meeting OSHA compliance standards or in the implementation of other job site health and safety programs.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, staff schedules and clinical processes for the SafeWorks Illinois and 217 Immediate Care clinical staff, Chaley also provides supervision over SafeWorks Illinois medical staff who work off-site, providing SafeWorks Illinois clients with their own outsourced, on-site medical services.
Chaley also serves as our internal nurse case manager, providing this vital role for SafeWorks Illinois and 217 Immediate Care patients and employers, fast-tracking referrals and seamlessly transferring patients to other providers, rehabilitation services or diagnostic testing, as needed. This SafeWorks Illinois process helps employees and employers achieve rapid resolution of cases and aids in the restoration of function for an injured person.
Chaley is also a certified Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) drug and alcohol collector trainer and holds a certificate in hearing conservation by the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation for her competency in fulfilling OSHA regulatory and best practice responsibilities in occupational hearing conservation programs. Her years of experience in the field have qualified her become a Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) after she passes her upcoming COHN certification exam sponsored by the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN). She will join a select club of well-qualified occupational health nurses as there are less than 5 COHNs in downstate Illinois.
