Bloodborne Pathogen Testing & Treatment
Bloodborne pathogens are those infectious microorganisms in human blood that can develop into diseases. These include, but are not limited to, Hepatitis B (HBV), Hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and are regulated by OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 1910.1030.
Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel in some industries, nurses and other healthcare personnel, and restaurant or other hospitality occupations may all be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
