Periodic Health Physicals

First Responder Physicals

First responders are critical to maintaining the health and safety of our local, state and Federal communities. The role these responders play in our community and the nature of their jobs makes it important that they protect their own health for the safety of themselves, their crew and the people they assist. In addition, the variety of elements and situations first responders encounter on any given day require physical standards higher than most, making exams more complex than traditional physicals can measure.

SafeWorks Illinois helps first responders maintain regulatory compliance and also receive regular vaccinations and periodic infectious disease screenings. For example, our firefighter medical pre-placement and surveillance exams are performed following the NFPA 1582 standards to assess a firefighter’s ability to perform the essential job functions.
